The set includes resin castings of the stern of the ship, the hatches of the two lower gunports, and Davids – the lifeboat davit arms. And a photo-etch of the window grilles.
The set is based on the book The 44 – Gun Frigate USS Constitution by K. H. Marquardt. Here on p. 67 is a depiction of the 1812 appearance of the stern. The appearance corresponds to the same period as the kit of this ship.
The resin casting fits the plastic model of the ship exactly. This gives a true, realistic appearance of the model corresponding to the historical reality.
