In 2007, Air France / KLM placed an order for Embraer E-Jets. Some of the aircraft were intended for Air France subsidiary Regional, and some for KLMs Cityhopper to replace Fokker F-100 aircraft. Deliveries of the Embraer 190s to KLM began in 2009.
