A long-time Boeing customer, Korean Air has operated a sizeable 737 fleet for years. In 2015, it placed an order for the latest variation, the -8 Max. Due to the extended grounding of the worldwide Max fleet, the airline did not take delivery of its first Max until February 2022 (the aircraft, HL8348 was almost 3 years old at that point). Deliveries of the 30 airframes will continue through 2028
